The most popular and simple type of ovulation test is the strip-test.
The principle of operation of the test is based on the detection of LH (luteinizing hormone). The highest concentration of LH in the body is indicated 48 hours prior to the release of an egg from the follicle (ovulation). In contact with the hormone chemical reaction takes place and particles of a litmus in the test change color. The test should be done 5 days in a row, to detect the presence of LH and its sufficient concentration. When two strips manifest clearly – the concentrations of LH reached a peak, and within 2 days there will come ovulation. These 2 days are the most favorable days for conception.
